Ribbon Network is a collection of essays, poetry and visual artwork that showcases our contributors’ superstitions, personal rituals and beliefs. These are constructed and included as part of their roadmaps to navigating their lives; however, they are viewed by outsiders as nonsensical, strange, or supernatural. This collection peers into the universe of our contributors to better understand how their personal practices are used as coping mechanisms or tools to understand the world, to provide a sense of control or understanding when the present and future seem uncertain.
